NEW MINISTRY BEGINS IN HERMISTON, oREGON

Beginning November 13 Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hermiston, OR will launch ministry with Hispanic/Latino people in the area. The idea came from members of Hope Lutheran Church in Woodburn, OR who moved to the area and missed the Lutheran church service. They asked Pr. Zabdi Lopez if there might be a way to have church where they live.
The family that requested the ministry said, "Don't worry about getting people to come.  If you come, we will bring the people."
In cooperation with Bethlehem's Pastor Mark Adams the idea took root. Bethlehem congregation is excited to begin this new mission to serve the spiritual needs of people they have not actively served before, and to incorporate them into the life of the congregation. On the second Saturday of every month Pr. Lopez and his family will make the four hour drive to plant the new ministry. Please pray for safe travel and for fruitful ministry in partnership with the congregation.  May hearts be open to the Gospel.
